
Level One Technologies has developed a stand alone web application allowing businesses to quickly accumulate quotes for goods and services. Like most of our developments, this piece was created and refined in Epay Manager before being adapted for general business purposes.
In Epay, shippers upload a list of available loads to our servers and the system generates an interactive bidding list. Selected carriers are notified via email and submit customized electronic bids. Within minutes, the shipper effortlessly collects dozens of competitive bids and can award the freight to a carrier at any time. Following pickup and delivery, the settlement is completed via electronic payment. The end result is much lower overhead, combined with the best available price for each transaction.
In a general business environment, the process begins with a custom request for proposal (RFP) generator that creates and distributes an RFP to approved vendors. Interested vendors submit detailed electronic bids, complete with attachments and the system ranks each bid according to pre-determined criteria. The originating company then reviews each bid online and awards the work to the desired vendor. Bidding is immediately ended and all bidders receive an email notification of the award. Following the completion of the work, an electronic receivable is created and vendor payment is made electronically. All purchasing data is archived and accessible to all parties involved in a transaction via detailed reporting tools.
